Aydem Retail and Gediz Retail Unite Tomorrow's Technologies at the Innovative Ideas Camp Aydem Energy’s electricity retail companies,
Aydem Retail and Gediz Retail, hosted the third annual Innovative Ideas Camp this year. The event showcased groundbreaking projects developed by youth from various Turkish universities, focusing on energy, digitalization, and sustainable living. Organized in collaboration with Manisa Celal Bayar University, the program evaluated and awarded the most outstanding projects.
To support creative ideas in technology and energy while strengthening university-industry cooperation, the Innovative Ideas Camp received 69 project applications from 11 universities across Turkey. Following preliminary evaluations, selected projects received mentorship during the development phase at the Manisa Celal Bayar University Technopark. The process culminated in a final event at the Prof. Ümit Doğay Arınç Culture Center, where 11 finalist teams presented to a jury, and the top three projects were awarded.
The event featured inspiring speeches from Prof. Dr. Ali Demir (General Manager of Manisa Technopark and TTO), Sarper Saraçoğlu (Sales Director of Aydem Energy Retail Group), and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin (Vice Rector of Manisa Celal Bayar University).
Sarper Saraçoğlu emphasized that these youth-led projects hold immense value for the sector's future: "Creating a sustainable transformation in the energy sector is possible through the bold ideas of our youth. The Innovative Ideas Camp is a platform that unlocks this potential. Every project we see here today has the power to form the foundation of tomorrow's energy technologies. We will continue to support young people and provide space for their visions."
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin highlighted that the program strengthened students' curiosity, research, and collaboration skills alongside their technical knowledge: "University-industry partnerships play a critical role in increasing Turkey's scientific and technological capacity. Every new idea produced is an investment in the future. Through these programs, students learn to approach problems holistically and relate solutions across different disciplines. I congratulate all teams and wish them continued success."
